Gattinara

Gattinara, Cantine Vegis, 45 euro, 13 degrees. Very ancient wine based on Nebbiolo (main grape of the Pieolmontese reds), garnet red color, refined bouquet with hints of violets and soft dry flavour that it acquires after 2-4 years of ageing in cask. As with all great powerful but soft reds, it is suitable for red meats and wild boar but, in my opinion, not for feathered game.
