Morellino of Scanzano

Morellino of Scanzano, Cantina Fattoria dei Barbi, € 25,00, 13.5 degrees. Wine from Maremma, the poorest part of Tuscany, but it is a wine not inferior to those of the richest Tuscany. Ruby red color, delicate aroma, dry but velvety flavour, with persistent aftertaste, suitable for red meats and wild boar, meat sauces, aged cheeses excluding feathered game. It is produced with 85% Sangiovese and the remaining 15% can come from 48 different Tuscan vines indicated in the production specification.
